| Regent Cruises (former Radisson) is voted the 'World's
Best small Cruise Line' for 2000, according to readers of Travel &
Leisure magazine. The Regent Diamond has been awarded a six-star
rating by Fielding's Worldwide Cruises, 1999, and the Paul Gauguin
has been given a six-ribbon rating by Stern's Guide to the Cruise
Vacation for 2000. Regent Cruises was also voted the
'World's Best Cruise Line' for 1995 by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler
magazine. A six-star cruise is not for the traveler addicted to the activity level on 3 star ships. The "Six-star" cruise lines represent the ultra-deluxe segment of the cruise business, and most are primarily small ship operators. They offer a noticeably more elevated level of service than the regular five- star cruises but also tend to be the most expensive cruises. They are definitely not mass market.
